Some heartless person shot an 8 year old mare in Fayette County, Georgia multiple times with arrows. Misty, the bay horse had to have surgery to remove the three arrows that pierced her through the neck, the withers and right below the eye.
One positive thing that has come from this case of animal cruelty, is that a number of groups that have stepped up to fund a reward for anyone who helps catch the shooter. Currently the reward stands at $7,000. Georgia Outdoor Network pledged a $1,000 towards the reward, the Atlanta Humane Society added $5,000 and radio-talk show host and author Neal Boortz also donated a $1,000 to the reward fund.
