As far as ideal Sporthorse conformation goes, Fidertanz is a model of excellence. He's balanced, uphill and curvy. In 2005 at the Bundeschampionate Fidertanz finished second, scoring 9.5 for conformation, 9 for trot, 9 for canter, 8 for walk , and 9.5 for rideability. This 2002 stallion is licensed for Westphalia, Rhineland and Oldenburg. If you look closely at Fidertanz's forehead he has a very small white exclamation point marking. Okay, so it's somewhat between an exclamation point and a semi colon. Oh well.

These Smarty Jones babies have the best names! This is Ritzy Jones, a son of Smarty Jones. I have a weakness for the grey Thoroughbreds, I just love them. This slate grey colt looks really sharp in white tack and the blue racing silks of Someday Farm. Ritzy Jones won easily in the slop at Philly Park, breaking his maiden in March of 2009.

Meet 2006 Smarty Jones filly, Smart Sugar (super cute name!) out of Ashraaf by Deputy Minister. Smart Sugar broke her maiden at Golden Gate Fields and has come in third at a Pleasanton CA race and third in her debut race at Golden Gate Fields. I don't know much else about this girl, but I am excited to see a Smarty Jones baby out there racing, especially such a cute one.

Colonel's Lone Gun is a minimally marked (but still flashy) dual registered APHA/AQHA Reining Stallion. CLG has ice blue eyes and a completely white face. He is also an NRHA Bronze Trophy Winner and the 2005 Wimpy's Little Step International Open Derby Champion. Colonel's Lone Gun passes on his striking white face marking and reining aptitude to his foals.

All Gussied Up the Saddlebred

"Gus" is a sweet Chestnut Gelding who shows in Hunter and Jumping. Unlike many Hunter Under Saddle horses, Gus keeps his mane long for the show ring (he is a Saddlebred after-all.) I love his running french braid. Gus has an elegant Saddlebred neck, long flashy legs and a balanced body. One of the reason's I picked him to feature is he reminds me of my own mare and I love that he's winning Championships and Reserves in Hunter even though he isn't the typical breed most people think of when they picture a Hunter horse.

"Fable" is a gorgeously built uphill Sporthorse stallion. Fable is only the 2nd registered and approved Knabstrupper stallion currently standing in the United States. Knabstrupper's a rare horses that have the markings of an Appaloosa and the build of a warmblood and Fable is a prime example of what this breed is all about.

Thornville Dan the Dales Pony

Similar to the Fell Pony, the Dales Pony is a rare breed of horse that is native to the Northeast of England. Thornville Dan is an imported Dales Pony Society of England licensed stallion who is now living in the United States. In my opinion Dales are similar in build to Haflingers but with a coat of black, a much more luxurious mane, and topped off with feet feathers for good measure.
