Hansen is a hopeful entrant to the 2012 Kentucky Derby. He's won one Grade I Stakes, the Breeder's Cup Juvenile, and the Grade II Toyota Blue Grass. I feature him today because he's such a pretty light grey horse and my underdog pick for the Derby. Plus he makes me think of the song "Mmmbop". Good luck Hansen!

"Rogue" is a flashy gelding who has done it all. He's shown in halter, dressage, English pleasure, hunter, and fun classes. Rogue has qualified for SW Regional Championships and is in the running for USDF Half-Arabian Breed Awards for 2012.

"Nobel" is chocolatey dappled Andalusian stallion. He has a very pretty neck and a kind face. At 16.3 he is a tall guy. He is also an Arabian Sweepstakes Nominated stud.

Magic is a heavily white paint horse stallion. He has very striking ice blue eyes and is full of energy. This white and red horse looks great in his turquoise tack. Positive for LWO (Lethal White Overo) potential breeding partners needs to have tested negative for LWO.

Here's a horse of a different color. "Katie" is a rare combination of Champagne and Grulla Dun. While her coloring is quite special, the reason I picked Katie to be featured today is her incredibly sweet face. Read on for more photos of this sweet mare.

"Neal" is homozygous Grullo Stallion. Neal is a beautiful slate grey with primitive markings. He's a chunky, stoutly built stockhorse type Quarter Horse. I featured Neal today because he's just a good old-fashioned looking guy with appropriately sized feet.

Owned by celebrity Lyle Lovett, Smart and Shiney is an incredibly beautiful Quarter Horse stallion. He's got one of the nicest manes I've ever seen. The Shining Spark grandson is a two-time celebrity slide champion and has multiple Top 10 Derby wins. Smart and Shiney is so stunning that he has been featured in an Ariat photo shoot
